4 Good Chest Exercises to Get Ripped
Biceps come in first place with regard to show muscles, while pectoral muscles come in second. Therefore, working your chest muscles to make them big and strong is important. You can grow your chest quickly and easily by trying out some of these good chest exercises.
Chest Press-Seated
This is not different from the regular bench press, only that you are seated as you do this exercise. The main advantage of doing the seated chest press is that you are more stabilized. The weight does not bobble around, so your workout is more focused on your pectoral muscles. This is regarded by many trainers as one of the easiest chest exercises. All you need to do is grip the barbell and push it upwards in a controlled motion. Remember that your elbows should not be locked at the end of the extension.
Decline or Incline Dumbbell Flyes
This workout mainly focuses on the upper chest. Ensure that the bench is adjusted to around 45 degrees in angle. While lying down on your back hold two dumbbell weights on each of your sides. Both of your elbows should be bent to an angle of about 90 degrees. Push the two dumbbell weights upwards as you get them closer to each other. Keep elbows locked and slowly lower both dumbbells and then repeat again.
Wide Grip Bench Press
This workout is popular among many bodybuilders. It mainly focuses on the lower part of the chest. Make sure that your grip is extended a little bit. Push up the barbell while lying on a flat bench. Slowly lower the barbell and repeat again.
Bench Dips
Placing your elbows out while doing dips, puts more focus on the lower pectoral muscles. Tucking in the elbows as you perform this exercise, places more emphasis on inner pectoral muscles.
There are plenty of other good pectoral exercises you can try doing, but these four are the most effective. For the best results, perform 2 or 3 of these exercises daily. Don't forget to allow your chest muscles to rest after you have worked them. A 3 day rest period should be enough, and this will help your chest muscles grow.
